Built to complement the character and history of Oklahoma’s Route 66, this rammed earth monument in Hydro showcases the natural beauty, strength, and texture of earth-based construction.
Layer by layer, the wall was formed and compacted to create the distinctive horizontal striations that make rammed earth unique. The finished monument brings together natural materials, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place—creating a durable landmark that feels right at home along the Mother Road.
This project demonstrates how rammed earth can be used beyond traditional walls and structures to create memorable architectural features, monuments, signage, and public spaces.
